Seattle is home to some of the longest-running and most wildly popular annual events in the country. Seafair, Chase Family 4th, Northwest Folklife Festival, Comcast Bite of Seattle and Bumbershoot®: Seattle's Music & Art Festival, are among the best-loved Seattle events of the year.Puyallup Fair.
The Puyallup Fair (officially known as the Western Washington Fair) is the largest single attraction held annually in the state of Washington. The fair continually ranks in the top ten largest fairs in the world. The Western Washington Fair Association hosts two annual events. The 17-day Puyallup Fair every September and the four-day Puyallup Spring Fair every April. It is situated south of Seattle and east of Tacoma in the shadow of majestic Mount Rainer. The Fair & Event Center comprises 169 plus acres, with buildings and land valued at more than $54 million. [Top]Northwest Folklife Festival.
The Northwest Folklife Festival is a family-friendly music and arts festival held at the Seattle Center over Memorial Day weekend. This three-day, outdoor festival features 20 stages for live concerts and musical entertainment, arts and culture workshops, dance performances and folklore exhibits. A special feature of the Northwest Folklife Festival is the traditional cultural awareness exhibit. Each year, the festival honors a particular cultural community with performances, exhibits and educational platforms. Admission to the Northwest Folklife Festival is free.[Top]
Chase Family 4th.
Celebrate the 4th of July at the biggest party of the season at Gas Works Park on the shores of Lake Union. The Chase Family 4th festival is a free event that offers contests, games and live music and entertainment. The highlight of the festival is the nationally-acclaimed fireworks show.

Held in July, the Comcast Bite of Seattle weekend food festival has been celebrating Seattle cuisine and wine for nearly 30 years. Also known as The Bite, the event features over 100 food booths, cooking demonstrations by celebrity Seattle chefs, beer gardens, wine tasting and multiple stages for live entertainment. Proceeds from The Bite support local Seattle charities. [Top]
Seafair Festival.
The Seattle waterfront bustles with exciting events each July during the month-long Seafair Festival. A Seattle tradition since the 1960s, Seafair is a regular annual event for many Seattle families and visitors. The festival's schedule of events is marked by such blockbusters as the Blue Angels Air Show, the Milk Carton Derby, Fleet Week, marathon and triathlon events, the famous nighttime torchlight parade and the Miss Seafair pageant. Established in 1971, Bumbershoot is the largest urban arts festival in the country. Held at Seattle Center, this music and arts festival was created to give a voice to all forms of artistic expression. Bumbershoot's performing arts programs include comedy, dance, spoken word, theatre and music. Attendees can also expect hands-on activities, craft vendors and food booths. Festival ticket packages are available for the four-day event at the door or through Ticketmaster. Legendary musicians who performed at the festival over the years include James Brown, Spinal Tap, Tina Turner, Modest Mouse and Death Cab for Cutie. [Top]
